Affectionately known as the Mama Bear Chair, the CH78 Lounge Chair was originally introduced by Hans J. Wegner in 1954 as an addition to his CH71 Chair design (1952). Unlike the often cumbersome lounge chairs of his time, Mama Bear's sculptural silhouette is defined by a series of inviting curves that feel like a warm embrace. Frame, armrests and legs are made of solid FSC® certified wood and designed for stability. An optional headrest made of leather or the matching fabric completes the design. The neck support is sold separately. Gabriel's premium wool fabric "Passion" is a classic, minimalist and Nordic-inspired wool upholstery fabric with a warm, modern colour palette.
