Water is filled into the lower part, followed by a metal part with the espresso powder. As soon as the water begins to boil, water vapor is formed which is slowly pressed through the ground coffee at high pressure to unfold again in the upper chamber as a wonderful espresso. The brewing process is so efficient that the valuable aromas are removed from the ground coffee, resulting in a wonderful coffee – the espresso! To protect against excessive pressure, the jug has a valve that releases water vapor in the lower chamber if the pressure is too high.
