The pendant lamp Model 47 comes from the Danish lighting design specialist Le Klint. The company founder and architect Esben Klint designed this lamp in origami style as early as 1949. Since then, the origami style has been something of a trademark of Le Klint. The first lamps of this kind were created by his father Kaare in a similar manner, initially as a shade for kerosene lamps. Surprised by the success himself, he founded the design brand Le Klint in the 1940s. Even today, meticulous craftsmanship is at the heart of the company's philosophy. Since 2003, Le Klint has even been purveyor to the Danish royal family. The pleated shade surrounds the bulb like a balloon and allows the light to escape exclusively directly downwards.
