The Series 7™ chair is an icon of modern furniture history and was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955. Its unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile, it shows character without overwhelming the eye. The chair is made from nine layers of molded veneer to ensure strength, flexibility and durability despite its slim shape. It is the most popular design within Fritz Hansen's chair collection. The 3107 has slim, sturdy tubular steel legs that complement the curved profile of the seat shell. The legs extend just beyond the edge of the seat, so chairs can be easily arranged in rows or stacked for storage. The frame/legs are discreetly mounted under the seat via a circular disc, further enhancing the clean, minimal aesthetics of Jacobsen's design.
