Use and careOperate the toaster without pickled bread for five minutes before first use to eliminate any odours from the new appliance. Always disconnect the toaster from the mains before cleaning. To clean the inside, tilt the toaster upside down over the sink and shake it gently. After toasting, wait for the toaster to cool, then remove the crumb compartment and empty it. The surface can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried. How it worksPlace the 2-slice toaster on a flat, heat-resistant surface and plug it in. Stick up to two slices of bread into the toast slots, select the desired setting and push the control lever down until it clicks into place. If you are using frozen bread, press the defrost button immediately, and if you are warming up rolls or croissants, adjust the built-in warm-up stand to the appropriate height.
